About the role

We are seeking a Private Equity/Commercial Due Diligence professional to join our Transaction Services and Private Equity (TSPE) US practice. This role involves expanding existing PE-client relationships with additional services, focusing on commercial due diligence.

Responsibilities

  • Support leading mid and large-cap PE clients in making informed investment decisions.
  • Analyze market and competitor dynamics to provide assurance on market scale, growth, and trends.
  • Carry out customer and market surveys to understand customer behaviors and perceptions.
  • Prepare parts of reports to be presented to clients, ensuring clear and insightful presentations.
  • Present findings both internally and to clients.
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients.
  • Engage in cross-border projects with other Simon Kucher offices worldwide.
  • Contribute to the development of the team and market activities.

Requirements

  • 2-4 years of experience within consulting or in the strategy/M&A function of a corporate, with experience in commercial due diligence engagements.
  • An undergraduate degree is required; MS, MA, MBA, or other advanced degree is optional/nice to have.
  • Experience leading commercial due diligence and/or growth strategy projects is highly preferred.
  • Record of managing multiple projects, including work plans, deliverables, budgets, schedules, and accounts receivable.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, comfort with financial modeling and market analysis.
  • Excellent communication and persuasion skills as well as written and spoken.
  • Team player, open and positive in a group dynamic.
  • Effective presentation and communication abilities to present findings, takeaways, and key recommendations to a senior audience.
  • Demonstrated record of solving complex problems, directing teams, and completing challenging project activities within tight project timelines.

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree is required.
  • MS, MA, MBA, or other advanced degree is optional/nice to have.

Benefits

  • Total compensation includes base salary, performance bonus, eligibility for annual merit-based increases, and a comprehensive benefits package.
  • Base salary range for this position is between $125,000 to $155,000 per year for U.S. roles.
  • Benefits for eligible employees include paid time off, 13 paid holidays, medical, dental, and vision coverage, life insurance, and a 401(k) plan.
