About the role
We are seeking a Private Equity/Commercial Due Diligence professional to join our Transaction Services and Private Equity (TSPE) US practice. This role involves expanding existing PE-client relationships with an additional service offering, focusing on commercial due diligence.
Responsibilities
- Support leading mid and large-cap PE clients, analyzing market and competitor dynamics, and understanding customer behaviors and perceptions.
- Carry out market and competitor analysis to provide assurance to clients about market scale, growth, and trends, and competitive positioning.
- Conduct customer and market surveys to gather insights on customer satisfaction and future opportunities.
- Prepare parts of reports to be presented to clients, ensuring clarity and insightfulness.
- Present findings internally and to clients, both verbally and in writing.
- Build and maintain relationships with clients, including participation in cross-border projects with other Simon Kucher offices worldwide.
- Engage in the development of the team and market activities, supporting in business development, recruitment, marketing, and early-stage initiatives.
Requirements
- 2-4 years of experience within consulting or in the strategy/M&A function of a corporate, with experience in commercial due diligence engagements.
- An undergraduate degree is required; MS, MA, MBA, or other advanced degrees are optional.
- Experience leading commercial due diligence and/or growth strategy projects is highly preferred.
- Record of managing multiple projects, including work plans, deliverables, budgets, schedules, and accounts receivable.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, comfort with financial modeling and market analysis.
- Excellent communication and persuasion skills, both written and verbal.
- Team player with strong interpersonal skills to work seamlessly with various internal and external colleagues and stakeholders.
Qualifications

- Total compensation includes base salary, performance bonus, eligibility for annual merit-based increases, and a comprehensive benefits package.
- The base salary range for this position is between $125,000 to $155,000 per year for U.S. roles.

Pay
Total compensation for this role includes base salary, performance bonus, eligibility for annual merit-based increases, and a comprehensive benefits package. The base salary range for this position is between $125,000 to $155,000 per year for U.S. roles.
