You have strong compliance and/or tax provision skills, experience with public companies and/or large multinationals, and desire to join a fast-paced, cross-collaborative, project-focused team.

About the team

National Federal Tax Services (NFTS) is a national practice within Deloitte Tax LLP comprising multiple tax service offerings, including Transaction & Integration Services (T&IS). The T&IS practice advises businesses and their investors on tax matters related to integration, divestment, joint ventures, bankruptcy emergence, public equity offerings, and legal entity realignment.

Within T&IS, the Transaction Readiness & Restructuring (TRR) subgroup operates primarily in an Integrated Service Offering format alongside Deloitte Consulting, delivering tax integration and divestiture services. TRR assists clients with taxation matters arising from transactions, departmental operations, and synergy capture, including:

  • Transaction-related tax issues (e.g., transaction costs, attribute limitations)
  • Departmental operations (e.g., combined financial accounting, tax department assimilation, tax operations stand-up)
  • Synergy capture and business process changes (e.g., Day 1 Readiness integration, legal entity rationalization, roadmaps, project plans)

TRR also provides stock basis and Earnings & Profit (E&P) analysis for companies restructuring, disposing of subsidiaries, making strategic acquisitions, executing spin transactions, claiming worthless securities deductions, or contemplating debt restructuring.
