About the role
The Senior Consultant works with our Healthcare Data Informatics Digital Warehouse, applying analytical, problem-solving, communication, and technology skills to provide scalable healthcare data solutions for clients. This role involves designing and delivering solutions, analyzing trends, and influencing client management.
Responsibilities
- Analyze trends, quantify impacts, and forecast clinical care impacts through market trends, new medications, plan design, pricing, financial and regulatory compliance, and administration issues.
- Provide strategic and innovative advice and counsel to clients, gaining their support for complex recommendations.
- Offer technical insights on health plans and managed care issues, and share strategic perspectives with colleagues.
- Lead or contribute to developing thought leadership, including trend analytics, and participate in marketing and branding efforts.
- Manage end-to-end project delivery, including planning, technical reviews, client engagements, and communication with assigned clients, promoting data visualization best practices.
Requirements
- 9+ years of health & welfare/managed care experience in a consulting and/or professional service environment.
- Expertise in healthcare claims, pharmaceuticals, and clinical care regimes and health and welfare plans and/or managed care arrangements and related issues.
- Expert level proficiency in SQL.
- Familiarity with Python and programming large scale data solutions preferred.
- Strong experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI).
- Bachelor’s degree in related sciences, with a graduate level degree in healthcare informatics, public health, actuarial sciences, statistics, or related sciences highly preferred.
- Demonstrated skills as an effective communicator (oral/written) and the ability to analyze and distill data into concise summaries.
