About the role

AvalonBay Communities, Inc., an equity REIT, seeks a dedicated and highly organized Sr. Leasing Consultant to join its extraordinary leasing team and revolutionize the apartment living experience. The Sr. Leasing Consultant will be responsible for the daily operations of the leasing team, ensuring residents experience nothing short of luxury living.

Responsibilities

• Create customized tours for prospective residents, recommending the perfect floorplan and outlining the best new neighborhood restaurants.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with residents, providing excellent customer service and going the extra mile to create a spectacular experience.
• Work Saturdays to handle high-traffic times, ensuring prospective residents have the best possible experience.
• Use sales and marketing skills to drive leasing performance through creative campaigns, continuous outreach, and social media engagement.
• Provide support, guidance, and on-the-job training to associates, acting as a resource for new hires.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent (GED)
• 1+ year experience in a leasing or customer service role in the real estate or property management industry
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Proficiency in using property management software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Knowledge of fair housing laws and regulations
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
