Responsibilities
- Lead external communications and reputation management for Verda in the US, covering both strategy and hands-on execution as we scale.
- Shape Verda's communications strategy in one of its key markets and the company's external narrative.
- Handle media relations, executive visibility, announcements, and crisis communications.
- Build trusted relationships with Verda's external stakeholders.
- Collaborate closely with Government Relations, Marketing, Operations, and the wider Communications team to build positions, ensure consistent and timely external messaging, and monitor coverage and industry conversation to spot opportunities and risks.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in external communications, reputation management, media relations, corporate communications, or a related field.
- Track record of building impactful communications strategies.
- Ability to navigate complex technological, political, and business topics and build clear messaging that positions Verda in relevant conversations.
- Experience working with media and journalists in the US market and building trusted relationships.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and experience working closely with senior leaders and cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication and writing skills in English.

- Experience in a technology, cloud, AI, SaaS, or scale-up environment.
- Experience building communications strategies and navigating complex issues.
- Experience supporting executive and leadership communications.
- Experience with media training and spokesperson preparation.
- Experience managing crisis or issues communications.
Practicalities
Location: San Francisco
Working mode: Hybrid, three days a week in the office
Employment type: Full-time and permanent
Pay
$180,000–$210,000 base salary per annum depending on experience
