About the role
A market-leading real estate services and legal platform is seeking a Senior Commercial Real Estate Counsel to join its high-performing team. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced commercial real estate attorney to work on some of the most sophisticated transactions across Florida and nationally, while enjoying the flexibility of a fully remote position.
Responsibilities
- Advising on sophisticated commercial real estate transactions from acquisition through closing
- Evaluating complex ownership, title, survey, financing, and legal matters impacting commercial properties
- Structuring practical solutions that allow transactions to move forward while appropriately managing legal and business risk
- Acting as a trusted resource for attorneys, developers, institutional investors, lenders, and real estate professionals
- Serving as a key strategic partner to stakeholders across the commercial real estate industry
- Supporting large-scale and multi-jurisdictional commercial transactions across a diverse range of asset classes
- Reviewing transaction-related documentation and providing guidance on legal, title, and closing concerns
- Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to resolve challenges and facilitate successful closings
- Participating in client-facing discussions involving complex real estate transactions and strategic deal structures
- Providing thought leadership, mentorship, and technical guidance to colleagues and industry professionals
- Staying abreast of market trends, emerging risks, and evolving commercial real estate practices
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
- 10+ years of experience in commercial real estate law, title, transactions, finance, development, or related real estate disciplines
- Strong understanding of commercial acquisitions, dispositions, financing, leasing, development, and ownership structures
- Experience analyzing and resolving complex real estate issues involving title, surveys, easements, access, and development matters
- Proven ability to manage multiple high-value transactions simultaneously
- Exceptional problem-solving, communication, and relationship-building skills
- Experience working with developers, lenders, investors, attorneys, and commercial real estate stakeholders
- Active Florida Bar membership strongly preferred
