About the role

The Senior Collections Agent role at Nuvative is a high-performing individual contributor who consistently demonstrates strong collections performance, professionalism, and reliability. This role serves as a subject matter expert and trusted resource for the collections team by providing day-to-day support, assisting with operational tasks, mentoring peers, and helping drive team success.

Responsibilities

  • Consistently meet or exceed collections, quality, and productivity goals.
  • Make outbound collection calls and assist customers with past-due accounts while maintaining professional and compliant customer interactions.
  • Negotiate payment arrangements and accurately document customer interactions.
  • Follow up on Promise-to-Pays (PTPs) for agents who are out of the office.
  • Manage assigned call lists and ensure required follow-up activities are completed timely.
  • Work designated 0-day delinquency accounts and assist with account maintenance tasks, including payment adjustments, debit revocations, card removals, voids, and loan locking activities.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert by staying current on company policies, procedures, and training updates.
  • Provide day-to-day support to team members by answering questions and sharing best practices.
  • Absorb and share best practices with new or developing agents.
  • Promote a positive team culture by recognizing accomplishments, encouraging peers, and leading by example.
  • Assist leadership with special projects, system testing, process improvements, and operational support as needed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of successful collections or customer service experience preferred.
  • Consistent history of strong performance and attendance.
  • Strong working knowledge of collections principles, practices, and company procedures.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer service skills.
  • Strong computer, typing, and system navigation skills.
  • Ability to mentor, coach, and support peers effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and work independently.

Qualifications

  • Bilingual abilities are a plus but not required.

Pay

$18-20 an hour, with monthly uncapped bonus potential.

Schedule

9am-6pm M-F, Rotating Saturdays (11am-3pm, approx. once a month, can be traded).
