About the role
We are seeking an experienced Senior CNC Machinist to independently set up, program, and operate large CNC machining centers for complex, high-precision components. Produce intricate parts from setup to final inspection, ensuring tight tolerances and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Set tooling, establish work offsets, verify programs, and adjust machining parameters as needed.
- Use CAM software to program and modify machining operations, troubleshoot issues, and optimize performance.
- Inspect parts during manufacturing using precision measuring equipment and monitor cutting conditions.
- Work with various materials, including specialty and exotic alloys, in a safe, organized environment.
- Collaborate with engineers, programmers, and production teams to improve processes and ensure quality.
- Maintain equipment and demonstrate attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Qualifications
- Minimum five years of CNC machining experience, especially with complex or large-part machining.
- Proficiency in programming and operating 5-axis CNC equipment and CAM software.
- Strong understanding of GD&T, blueprint reading, and machining specialty materials.
- Excellent math, troubleshooting, and independent work skills.
- Preferred: technical degree or apprenticeship, PowerMill experience, aerospace machining background.
