Responsibilities

• Infrastructure, engineering, and administration tasks on supported platforms and cloud services
• Designing, deploying, and managing scalable, secure, and resilient platform and cloud services within a hybrid environment
• Automating infrastructure provisioning
• Managing Infrastructure-as-Code templates
• Optimizing resource usage
• Ensuring compliance with security and governance standards
• Supporting modernization and operational transparency initiatives, requiring effective collaboration with university faculty, business teams, and vendors

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree
• Seven (7) years of related professional experience in systems engineering
• Experience working in a higher education environment
• Industry Linux Certification
• Industry Cloud Certification
• Industry Project Management Certification
• Industry Major Service Certification

Qualifications

• Expert knowledge of a major cloud provider architecture (Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, etc.)
• Effective communication at a senior level
• System administration at a senior level
• Project planning and implementation at a senior level
• Research and development at a senior level

Skills

• Knowledge of how to maintain applications and perform system version upgrades at a senior level
• Knowledge of how to apply patches to ensure the stability of applications and/or systems at a senior level

• Knowledge of how to perform system troubleshooting methodology at a senior level
• Knowledge of how to perform system and/or application security monitoring and enforcement at a senior level
