Cloud Engineer, Senior
About the role
As a cloud computing infrastructure architect, you will use cutting-edge enterprise cloud platforms to support clients in modernizing their IT infrastructure and meeting their most challenging missions. You will collaborate with fellow cloud architects and engineers specializing in AWS to design, develop, test, and deploy cloud solution components.
Responsibilities
- Closely collaborate with fellow cloud architects and engineers specializing in AWS to design, develop, test, and deploy cloud solution components.
- Create and manage container apps using a DevOps framework.
- Use products like Kubernetes to further the mission.
- Explore different ways of solving client problems within our internal AWS Labs.
- Partner with stakeholders and your team to deliver the right technical solutions.
- Modernize legacy computing platforms and applications or create new ones from scratch.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in cloud-based systems architecting
- Active TS/SCI clearance; willingness to take a polygraph exam
- Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) field, such as Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Engineering Management, or Management Information Systems
- 1+ years of experience as a Cloud Architect, or 5+ years of experience as a Cloud Architect in lieu of a degree
- Cloud Certifications, including Cloud Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified, Cisco Certified Networking Administrator – Cloud, Cisco Certified Network Professional – Cloud, IBM Certified Cloud Solution Architect, MCSE Cloud Platform and Infrastructure, or VMware Certified Professional (VCP7-CMA)
Qualifications
- Experience designing, implementing, and operating in DevSecOps
- Experience with IC or DoD program or project work
- Knowledge of object-oriented software with languages such as Java, C++, Python or Ruby in SOA applications preferred
- TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
- Master’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) field, such as Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Engineering Management, or Management Information Systems

Pay
The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD).
Schedule
Full-time and part-time employees working at least 20 hours a week on a regular basis are eligible to participate in Booz Allen’s benefit programs. Individuals that do not meet the threshold are only eligible for select offerings, not inclusive of health benefits.
