Senior Client Services Manager
Slayden Constructors Inc. (SCI), a wholly owned subsidiary of MWH Constructors, Inc. (MWH), is seeking a Senior Client Services Manager to support critical water, wastewater, and advanced water treatment plant projects for both municipal and industrial clients. The position will be based out of the Salem, Oregon area. About the Role
The Senior Client Services Manager will lead and drive market expansion, focusing on large-scale general contracting services for water/wastewater treatment facilities, as well as Construction Management Services. This role will manage business development policies, processes, and best-in-class practices, while coordinating with corporate and regional leaders to maintain quality and uniformity in business development processes.
- Support the day-to-day processes and function of the business development team, including meetings, coordination across districts, CRM management, pursuit strategy, budget, and strategic planning.
- Develop, seek out, and maintain best-in-class construction business development policies, processes, and practices.
- Coordinate with and support district leaders to ensure best-in-class policies, processes, and practices are implemented.
- Assist in identifying and positioning for new business opportunities in core water/wastewater markets; screen and facilitate sales opportunities through research, relationships, calls, conferences, and presentations.
- Participate in annual strategic and budget planning activities related to business development.
- Engage in water and wastewater industry tradeshow activities to identify, coordinate, and meet with prospective clients.
- Maintain positive industry relationships and collaborate across internal departments to support sales proposals, presentations, and specifications.
- Manage the CRM system.
- Serve as a key member of strategic pursuit teams by participating in capture and campaign activities, writing and editing proposal and SOQ content, and coaching project interview teams.
- Partner with the marketing team to develop materials and tools supporting business development.
- Educate support staff and new employees on the role of Business Development in the organization.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in business development, market research, and sales activities.
- Client-facing experience developing new business for water/wastewater projects.
- Ability to successfully manage a CRM system tracking multiple opportunities and clients.
- Fiscal responsibility in managing complex multi-discipline projects.
- Strong research, business, and communications skills.
- Strong community interaction and involvement.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills on project-related issues.
- Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in search engines.
- Creative problem-solving ability, negotiation, and follow-up skills.
- Strong organizational skills, flexibility, and ability to prioritize work assignments.
- Bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental engineering, construction management, business, computer science, or a related field. An equivalent combination of experience, skills, and training may be considered.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior related water/wastewater design or construction infrastructure experience.

Pay
The anticipated compensation for this position is $140,000–$170,000 per year, depending on previous experience.
