Bel Air Investment Advisors, an advisory practice of Hightower, provides investment management and advisory services to wealthy individuals, families, trusts, and foundations, targeting clients with $20 million or more in investable assets. We offer a diverse mix of proprietary and sub-advisory investment strategies within our open architecture platform. Founded in 1997 and based in Los Angeles, the firm employs over 50 professionals, including financial analysts, investment advisors, research professionals, portfolio managers, traders, and administrative support.

About the role

We are looking to add a Senior Client Service/Advisory Associate (CSA) to help the team grow.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates the implementation of the service and operational functions of the advisory team to ensure proper servicing of clients and the timely/accurate execution of investments.
  • Acts as a liaison between the advisory team, their clients, and internal departments to provide day-to-day support in responding to advisor and client inquiries, ensuring timely and accurate completion of operational/product activities.
  • Coordinates the new client process, including meeting preparation, collection of client background information, providing and obtaining required account and investment strategy documentation, and operational coordination of account establishment and transfers.
  • Coordinates the asset allocation and reallocation process, addressing necessary paperwork, account establishment, and investment implementation and/or changes with applicable department(s).
  • Provides customer service to clients by offering information, responding to inquiries, conducting research, and submitting and ensuring the completion of service requests.
  • Maintains proficiency in all investment strategies, services, policies, and procedures to effectively respond to inquiries and complete service requests.
  • Solves problems through a strong understanding of operational and firm processes.
  • Performs other necessary duties and participates in firm projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • Deep experience in a similar role with a Registered Investment Advisor and/or Brokerage Firm.
  • Strong understanding of standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the industry.
  • Self-starter who takes initiative to identify and complete tasks.
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate needs and provide superior service.
  • High energy with the ability to handle pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize and organize workflow.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Flexible and willing to perform other tasks as assigned.
  • Strong technical skills using the Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • BA/BS degree in finance or related field.

  • Strong professional verbal and written communication.
  • Interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate self and others to deliver high-quality output, possibly within tight timeframes.

Pay

Base salary of $125,000–$150,000 plus annual performance and profit-sharing bonuses (exact base salary amount will be dependent on experience).
