About the role

The Senior Client Delivery Project Manager at Velera is responsible for leading and managing project implementations to deliver multiple projects and initiatives. This role requires extensive project management experience, particularly in client-facing roles within the financial services industry, with a focus on card processing and payment solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Leads and manages the project implementation lifecycle to deliver multiple projects and initiatives.
  • Delivers effective, accurate, and consistent communication to project teams, management, external clients, and vendors.
  • Coordinates all phases of operational implementation of project deliverables using established PMI project management methodologies.
  • Partners with technology leaders to understand interdependencies and lead time to identify project resources and develop a comprehensive schedule.
  • Maintains project documentation; ensures project documents are complete, current, and appropriately stored.
  • Prepare and distribute project reports and communications; communicates with technology team, project sponsors, stakeholders, functional area managers and/or consultants regarding status of specific tasks.
  • Ensure various integration elements of assigned projects are properly coordinated including: project plan development, project plan execution, and overall change control.
  • Lead lesson learned exercises and participate in root cause analysis discussions.
  • Ensure that project information is communicated in a timely manner through communication planning, information distribution, performance reporting and administrative closure.
  • Collaborate effectively with other project managers, various subcontracting partners, external consulting organizations, customer resources, contractor and other 3rd party providers ensuring the quality standards for the project are met.
  • Facilitate project meetings including project kick off and specification meetings.
  • Work in a consultative role with senior client management including CEO and project teams to ensure business requirements are met.
  • Serve as mentor for other Operational Services staff related to project management methodologies and best practices.
  • Maintain interaction with credit unions, MasterCard, VISA and other processors, software vendors and ATM networks for the purpose of coordinating products/projects.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • 7 years of project management experience required.
  • 5 years in a client facing role required.
  • 5 years in the financial services industry with card processing and payment solutions preferred.
  • Large-scale conversion project leadership and card processing experience preferred.
  • Client facing project leadership and card processing experience preferred.

Education

A bachelor’s degree in a related field and/or equivalent combination experience and education is required. PMP certification is preferred.

Pay

$84,900.00 - $108,200.00 Actual Pay will be adjusted based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
