Senior Clerkship Phase Director
About the role
The Office of Medical Education (OME) within the University of Colorado's School of Medicine is seeking a Senior Clerkship Phase Director. The School of Medicine has transitioned its core clinical curriculum into a Longitudinal Integrated Clerkship (LIC) model, part of a broader curriculum overhaul.
Responsibilities
10% - Foothills operational support: Participate in Foothills administrative team meetings, support calendaring and scheduling of Foothills curriculum, and assist with the Close-to-home process and LIC student match.
30% - Curriculum leadership: Chair or support of task forces for accountability and deliverables, co-chair CPCC meetings, and oversee artificial intelligence (AI) processes and policies in clinical education.
40% - Liaison oversight and management: Lead hiring and onboarding of LIC directors and liaisons, develop and lead onboarding and orientation for liaisons, and supervise liaison performance.
10% - Foothills phase leadership/faculty support: Support faculty development and annual programming for all preceptors and locally by LICs, including faculty manuals and new faculty orientation.
10% - Student support: Oversee student orientation materials, participate in end-of-year concentration/exploration celebrations, and support individual students as needed.
Qualifications
- Instructor: Must be able to obtain an Instructor faculty appointment, board-certified physician with MD or DO, and permission from clinic or department.
- Senior Instructor: Must be able to obtain a Senior Instructor faculty appointment, board-certified physician with MD or DO, and permission from clinic or department.
- Assistant Professor: Must be able to obtain an Assistant Professor faculty appointment, board-certified physician with MD or DO, and permission from clinic or department.
- Associate Professor: Must be able to obtain an Associate Professor faculty appointment, board-certified physician with MD or DO, and permission from clinic or department.
- Professor: Must be able to obtain a Professor faculty appointment (open rank), board-certified physician with MD or DO, and permission from clinic or department.

- The position is not eligible for overtime compensation unless non-exempt.
