Senior Civil Engineer

About the role

We’re seeking a dynamic Senior Civil Engineer to lead multidisciplinary projects, guiding teams through all phases of site development, land planning, and utility design.

Responsibilities

• Manage and lead complex infrastructure projects
• Mentor and guide engineering teams
• Deliver impactful solutions for industrial clients and utility providers
• Coordinate with multiple stakeholders including Owners, Contractors, and Agencies
• Lead field activities and mentor team members

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
• EIT certification required; PE license preferred
• 10+ years of experience in site development and utility design
• Proven leadership skills with prior management experience
• Expertise in all phases of engineering and construction
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and BIM collaboration tools
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and detailed orienting skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Able to multitask effectively and organize project workflows

Key Skills & Qualifications

• Experience designing rail access or yard track layouts (Nice to have)
• Familiarity with permit application processes and agency coordination (Nice to have)
• Experience with survey coordination and interpretation (Nice to have)
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite for project management (Nice to have)

Preferred Education & Experience

• Master’s degree in Civil Engineering (plus)
• Active and current AutoCAD Civil 3D and BIM software use (plus)
• Extensive background managing complex infrastructure projects (plus)

Other Requirements

• Ability to coordinate across multiple stakeholders including Owners, Contractors, and Agencies
• Willingness to lead field activities and mentor team members
• Professional registration or licensing in relevant jurisdictions is advantageous (preferred)

Pay

$95,000 - $125,000

Schedule

Hybrid - Two days working from home
