Job Details: We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Senior Civil Engineer to join our progressive Engineering firm. This is a permanent, full-time position that offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a team of dedicated professionals delivering top-notch civil engineering solutions.
Responsibilities
- Leading the planning, design, and implementation of civil engineering projects, including grading, site development, and erosion control.
- Utilizing Civil3D software to create detailed, accurate models and simulations.
- Carrying out hydrological studies and assessments to inform the design process.
- Preparation of engineering plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
- Providing technical guidance and supervision to junior engineering staff.
- Ensuring all projects adhere to local and national engineering standards and regulations.
- Collaborating with project stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities.
- Managing project timelines and budgets, ensuring all deliverables are completed on time and within budget.
- Conducting site inspections and assessments to ensure construction is carried out as per the design and specifications.
- Troubleshooting and resolving any issues that arise during the project lifecycle.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
- Professional Engineer (PE) or EIT Certification
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in civil engineering, with a focus on land development, site development, and grading.
- Proficiency in Civil3D and other relevant software.
- Extensive knowledge of hydrology and erosion control principles.
- Experience working on both residential and commercial development projects.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- A strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous professional development.
