Responsibilities
- Perform lead project engineering duties and delegate work to other engineers.
- Manage the creation of 3D models and engineering drawings.
- Follow international, state, and industry codes and specifications to design and produce safe, complete, accurate, clear, compliant, constructible, and cost-effective concrete and structural steel designs and deliverables for natural gas, hydrocarbon, and industrial facilities.
- Perform calculations as a Professional Engineer for structural steel and concrete designs.
- Prepare and review detailed engineering calculations, design drawings, technical documents, and engineering studies.
- Develop and maintain associated site, architectural, concrete, and structural steel drawings.
- Cook up and review technical information with clients, inter-company service groups, architects, owners, vendors, and other third parties.
- Develop, train, and mentor engineer, drafting, and design personnel in the department.
Requirements
- Thorough understanding of AISC, ACI-318, IBC, and ASCE-7.
- Working knowledge of 3D, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and STAAD structural modeling and analysis software.
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Good communication and analytical skills.
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) is preferred.
