Principal Responsibilities
- Coordinate, oversee, and manage projects of varying size and complexity, serving as the primary point of contact for teams and clients
- Collaborate with business development staff, Project Executives, Client Executives, and Market Directors/Leaders during project initiation
- Assist with design scopes of work, fee calculations, and contract reviews for proposal generation
- Develop project schedules, set milestones, and manage deadlines
- Prepare monthly billings, submit financial information, and update billing projections and completion percentages
- Ensure designs meet owner standards, IMEG standards, and code requirements; oversee quality control and construction support
- Lead and document progress meetings, coordinate project scheduling, and provide meeting documentation
- Participate in project interviews and presentations
- Respond to and resolve client and construction concerns, manage change orders, and obtain necessary approvals
Required Qualifications And Skills
- Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Civil Engineering, or equivalent, required
- Professional Engineer (PE) License required
- 10 years of experience minimum required, 12 preferred, in the building design consulting industry
- Demonstrated leadership traits in the Project Management career path
- Adept in the technical aspects of one’s discipline
- Mastery of technical and analytical skills including proficiency in the Civil Engineering field
- Ability to perform final quality control check in their area of expertise
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; Ability to clearly communicate in both oral and written communication to individuals or groups
- Able to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Eagerness to adapt to new challenges
- Proficient with MS Office Suite including but not limited to Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to travel up to 20% with occasional overnight stays
