Senior Civil Engineer
About the role
We are seeking a Senior Civil/Highway Engineer to join our dynamic team in the New England area. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the development of safe, efficient, and sustainable transportation systems that enhance economic vitality, public safety, and community quality of life.
Responsibilities
- Leading the design of civil engineering projects to support clients while prioritizing public safety and welfare.
- Preparation of plans, detail drawings, and quantity estimates for projects of varying sizes and complexities.
- Engagement in multiple areas of design including highway & local roadway design, green infrastructure, stormwater management, drainage & grading, and multi-modal transportation designs.
- Collaboration with diverse teams to manage projects effectively.
- Coordination of survey, grading, drainage, and utilities to ensure site layout and alignment plans are accurate.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in all aspects of roadway engineering design.
- A professional engineer license recognized by the relevant licensing board.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and exemplary work ethic.
- Experience with MassDOT, MBTA, and Massachusetts municipalities.
- Preferred experience with other New England state DOTs.
- Preferred proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and MicroStation OpenRoads.
