Senior Civil Engineer
About the role
We're seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to join our team in the Central region of the US. You will be part of multi-disciplined teams responsible for planning, designing, and constructing site-development projects for both municipal and private clients.
Responsibilities
- Aiding in the preparation of site plans, technical reports, design drawings, contract documents, cost estimates, and permit applications for projects
- Developing land development plans and attending municipal meetings
- Navigating local, county, and state regulations and permitting requirements
- Providing mentorship and developing junior engineers
- Assisting with the design of linear infrastructure such as piping, forcemains, and drainage systems for various sites
- Presenting at zoning hearings and other public meetings
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
- Current Professional Engineer (PE) license (in Texas) preferred or ability to file for licensure within 1 year
- 5-10 years of project experience in land development, particularly in linear infrastructure
- Experience in multiple states a plus
- Familiarity with engineering modeling software including HydroCAD, SewerGEMS, HEC-RAS, and engineering drafting software by Autodesk (Civil 3D)
- Ability to work closely with CAD professionals
Qualifications
- Knowledge of engineering drafting software by Autodesk (Civil 3D)
- Experience with presentations at zoning hearings and other public meetings
