Senior Civil Engineer
Job Summary
This role will support design development of civil engineering designs for the project site by preparing studies, drawings, and evaluations, in accordance with applicable procedures, codes, standards, and contract requirements. Work with other civil engineers/designers and other technical disciplines in a team environment.
Major Responsibilities
- Originate and check civil deliverables of high complexity, including specifications, drawings, reports and calculations.
- Interpret and verify industry standards, guidelines, and codes for project deliverables.
- Report design quantities compared to estimated quantities.
- Participate in project design/model reviews.
- Participate in constructability reviews.
- Review vendor information from subcontractors and integrate it into the design solution.
- Execute schedule requirements while maintaining a high degree of quality in work product.
- Cook up coordination closely with other technical disciplines in executing work as an integrated team.
Education And Experience Requirements
- Requires a bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8-10 years of relevant experience, or a master's degree and 6-8 years of relevant experience, or 12-14 years of relevant work experience.
- Basic Qualifications: Required Knowledge and Skills.
Minimum Qualifications
- Work experience should emphasize the civil / site design of heavy industrial-type facilities.
- Have a Poland Professional Engineering (PE) license for design in installation specialty (Uprawnienia budowlane do projektowania w specjalności instalacyjnej w zakresie sieci, instalacji i urządzeń cieplnych, wentylacyjnych, gazowych, wodociągowych i kanalizacyjnych bez ograniczeń).
- Familiar with the provisions of Eurocodes and industry standards and regulations.
- Must be familiar with Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Familiar with the methods of procurement and control of bulk materials.
- Able to independently execute the detailed design drawings of civil / site systems of high complexity.
- Thorough knowledge of engineering deliverables, such as drawings and specifications.
- Able to express technical issues in a clear and concise manner, both written and verbally.
- Able to resolve design issues with subordinates, other engineering disciplines, construction, and the client.
- Able to issue a clear and concise direction to subordinate designers and drafters.
