Senior Chemist Amsterdam

About your role

As a (Senior) Chemist at Bureau Veritas, you contribute to ensuring the quality of oil, petrochemical products and agricultural products, among others. Your work will take place on-site in the port of Rotterdam, and you will work with a small, informal team led by a shift leader. This job offers plenty of opportunities to grow. What will you do

• You will perform a variety of analyses on different products within the (petro-)chemical industry using different analysis techniques.
• You communicate clearly and regularly with other departments (e.g. Survey and Customer Service).
• You work in shifts. This is a 5 shift system.
• Other activities within the laboratory.

What do you bring to the table

• A completed MBO education in a relevant direction.
• At least 3 years of work experience in a similar position in a petrochemical laboratory.
• A good command of English and/or Dutch (oral and written).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently, and sometimes under pressure.
