About the role
The TJX Global Sourcing and Procurement (GS&P) organization is a trusted partner to our business functions. As a Senior Category Management Specialist, you will support Global Category Managers in executing regional and global sourcing events. You will lead project execution for events of varying complexity using defined strategic sourcing methodologies, tools, and templates to ensure a fair, open, and competitive sourcing process. You are a trusted partner who provides value through sourcing expertise and industry knowledge, driving strategy, cost improvement, and strong relationships across TJX.
Responsibilities
- Supports Global Category Managers in the execution of regional and global sourcing events across all assigned categories, including sourcing administration and event support.
- Leads strategy development and project execution for assigned sourcing events using defined strategic sourcing methodologies, tools, and templates.
- Supports Global Category Managers in developing regional and global sourcing strategies in Supply Chain categories, such as ocean and air transportation, domestic transportation, 3PL warehousing & processing, etc.
- Develops effective and trusting relationships with Business Partners to ensure successful project delivery.
- Participates in the development, review, and execution of contracts and ensures compliance with the TJX Approval Authority Schedule and Audit requirements.
- Performs and delivers sourcing analysis for strategic sourcing events.
- Manages research and analysis to stay abreast of innovations, new products, new sources, price trends, and market conditions.
- Participates in Global Category Management planning for assigned categories and contributes to category strategy development.
- Develops recommendations for supplier selection to Business Partners in partnership with management.
- Ensures a compliant 'Source-to-Pay' process is in place for all eligible category spend.
- Applies basic negotiation principles and executes negotiations in support of value delivery for assigned categories and projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or post-secondary education in Supply Chain Management, Business, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 2 years of strategic sourcing, procurement, or related experience.
- Able to independently lead assigned sourcing initiatives with Business Partners.
- Knowledge of RFx requirements including sourcing event structure, supplier selection, RFx criteria, timing, length, type, and complexity of RFI, RFP, and/or e-Auction events.
- Understanding of basic negotiation principles in support of value delivery.
- Able to recommend supplier selections to Business Partners.
- Strong relationship development skills and competency.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong command of procurement/sourcing systems and Microsoft Suite of products.
- Ability to analyze data related to spend, supplier performance, and market trends.
- Ability to recognize trends within spend categories.
- Strong project management and organization skills.
- Self-motivator with ability to prioritize projects.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the retail industry and managing multinational Business Partners and suppliers.
- Experience with Logistics and/or Supply Chain activities and projects.

Pay
This position has a starting salary range of $85,600.00 to $109,200.00 per year. Actual starting pay is determined by a number of factors, including relevant skills, qualifications, and experience. This position is eligible for an annual incentive.
