Senior Cardiac Device Technician - Heart and Vascular - Part Time

About the Role

The Senior Cardiac Device Technician collaborates with physicians and other clinic staff to provide quality care to patients with pacemakers, defibrillators and other implanted devices. In this role, you’ll be the clinic’s first line of review for checking device rhythms, rates and battery life, both in-clinic and remotely. The clinic provides quarterly transmission and monitoring reviews and stays keyed-in to any issues with remote alerts. Together with nurses and providers, you’ll make necessary device adjustments and determine best practices based on device data, providing initial reviews to the rest of the team.

The Senior Cardiac Device Technician also works closely with patients, educating them on their devices after implantation. Most of your work will be done at our Cherry Hill clinic, but occasional travel to our Edmonds, Ballard and Issaquah satellite campuses is required. This role has a set schedule and does not require weekend work.

Responsibilities

• Review device rhythms, rates, and battery life for patients with implanted cardiac devices, both in-clinic and remotely.
• Conduct quarterly transmission and monitoring reviews, addressing remote alerts.
• Collaborate with nurses and providers to adjust devices and establish best practices based on device data.
• Educate patients on their devices post-implantation.
• Occasional travel to satellite clinics (Edmonds, Ballard, Issaquah).

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Health or science-related field or equivalent education/experience.
• National Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association upon hire.
• 3 years of previous experience as a Cardiovascular Technologist.

Preferred Qualifications

• Cardiovascular Technician certification (CVT) or Certified Cardiac Device Specialist certification (CCDS).
• Completion of ATI training.
• Experience with medical monitoring technology and programming devices (Boston Scientific, Medtronic, Abbott/St. Jude, etc.).
• Strong background in cardiovascular care as an RN, LPN, Medical Assistant, etc.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $37.17 - $57.71 per hour. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
