Senior CAD Technician

About the role

FEI is seeking a Senior Engineering Technician with strong AutoCAD Civil 3D experience to take the lead on land development design, turning concepts into buildable plans while collaborating with engineers and project managers to deliver high-quality designs that shape communities.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed land development plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D, including site layouts, subdivisions, roadway design, water, sewer, and stormwater systems, grading, erosion control, and stormwater management plans.
• Collaborate with engineers to deliver accurate, on-time designs; support project timelines and budgets through efficient, high-quality work; assist with processing plans through governmental agencies for approvals.
• Ensure all work meets company standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices; review designs for accuracy, completeness, and constructability.

Requirements

• High school diploma (Associate’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field preferred).
• 5+ years of land development design experience.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Solid understanding of site design, utilities, and grading principles.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Skills

• CAD certifications (preferred).
• Experience with Ajera or similar time/expense software (preferred).

Schedule

Mon–Thu: 7:30 AM – 5:30 PM; Fri: 7:30 AM – 11:30 AM.
