Senior C++ Developer

About the role

A growing and well-established engineering software company is hiring a Senior C++ Engineer for a full-time, direct hire opportunity. This role is based in Dallas, TX with a flexible hybrid schedule (1–2 days onsite).

Responsibilities

• Developing and maintaining high-performance Windows desktop applications
• Building or maintaining Windows desktop applications
• Working with MFC (Microsoft Foundation Classes)
• Optimizing data structures, algorithms, and performance
• Working in large or legacy codebases
• Collaborating with engineers to enhance and maintain a complex desktop application
• Writing high-performance, reliable C++ code
• Solving complex technical problems involving performance, numerical precision, and real-world engineering applications
• Supporting long-term product evolution and modernization

Requirements

• Strong experience with C++ in a production environment
• Familiarity with MFC (Microsoft Foundation Classes)
• Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and performance optimization
• Experience working in large or legacy codebases
• Background in mathematics or computational logic
• Prior experience in civil, structural, or engineering-related industries
• Experience modernizing legacy applications
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
