Senior Business Performance Analyst

The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity.

About the role

The Senior Business Performance Analyst extracts operations data for analysis, leadership support, and responses to ad hoc data requests. The incumbent maintains operations tools and databases, ensuring they are kept up-to-date using data from various PG&E systems. The Analyst develops, maintains, and enhances operational metric database tools for the broader analytics team(s) and identifies and solves current gaps in data requirements and ease of access to ensure fast and consistent responses to leadership inquiries.

Responsibilities

• Manages complex data analysis projects for KPIs with limited supervision on only the most complex.
• Designs data analysis to achieve business objectives, process data, analyze data, write clear and concise data findings, and tailor communications to specific audiences.
• Creates automated data routines and processes for reporting and data delivery, ensuring accurate data manipulation and data cleansing.
• Manages very complex data extracts and list pulls, ensuring data accuracy.
• Manages extracting data and transferring the data from databases to various analysts to support operational analysis efforts.
• Analyzes data using various advanced statistical tools to develop complex ad hoc reports, statistics, trends, and profiles.
• Demonstrates and utilizes broad expertise in data processing and data analysis and applies this knowledge to a number of different issues.
• Provides new and innovative solutions and recommendations to enhance database(s) with new data sources and improved data processes.
• Develops comprehensive reports and communicates clear, concise, and actionable data analyses for clients.
• Acts as team lead and provides direction to less experienced employees.
• Works with Directors and Managers across functions to influence decisions.

Requirements

• BA/BS Degree in Marketing, Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or other related field or equivalent work experience.
• 5 years of related work experience.

Skills

• Advanced skill in Microsoft Excel/Access (complex formulas, graphing, VBA).
• Advanced skill in writing SQL queries using Oracle or Business Objects.
• Strong knowledge of base-SAS and programming languages such as Visual Basic, Perl, or C.
• Strong organizational, prioritization, and multi-tasking skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Influence skills.
• Familiarity with utility operations (desired).

Pay

Minimum Base Salary (Bay Area): $102,000.00
Mid Base Salary (Bay Area): $132,000.00
Maximum Base Salary (Bay Area): $162,000.00

Schedule

This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and your assigned location based on business need.
