Senior Business Operations & Strategy Analyst
Responsibilities
- Own high-priority strategic and operational initiatives that shape MongoDB’s growth, efficiency, and long-term scale
- Develop executive-facing business cases and recommendations for key product and infrastructure decisions, including scenario analysis and trade-off evaluation
- Manage relationships and contract negotiations with hyperscalers (AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure)
- Partner with Finance, Product, and other cross-functional teams to evaluate business performance, surface key drivers, and translate ambiguous questions into structured analyses
- Build and refine gross margin analyses and forecasting frameworks across MongoDB’s core and emerging businesses
Requirements
- 2-5 years of experience in business strategy and operations, preferably at least 2 years as a management consultant or at a data-driven product/technology company
- Outstanding problem-solving skills and the ability to structure ambiguous business questions into clear analyses and actionable recommendations
- Strong executive communication skills, with the ability to distill complex findings into concise, compelling narratives
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills (or Google Suite equivalent)
- Experience with using SQL to retrieve and manipulate data is a plus
- BA/BS in a quantitative or business-related field
About the Role
MongoDB is seeking a Business Operations & Strategy Senior Analyst to join a small, high-impact team working on some of the company’s most important strategic and financial priorities. You will work directly with senior leaders across finance, product, and analytics, including regular exposure to C-suite on high-stakes questions that shape how MongoDB scales. The scope spans strategic planning, business case development for new products, and partnerships with AWS, Google Cloud, etc.. This role is ideal for someone with strong analytical horsepower, structured thinking, and executive presence who wants meaningful ownership and direct visibility into major business decisions.
Work Location
This role is a hybrid / in-office role, with approximately two to three days per week in our New York City Office.
