Senior Business Analyst - Oil & Gas Experience - Remote

About the Role

This position involves business analysis on software development projects, with a focus on the Oil & Gas industry and regulatory compliance. The role requires strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills, as well as proficiency in technical documentation and prototyping tools.

Responsibilities

• Prepare project-related documentation for software development initiatives.
• Work with RBDMS (Risk Based Data Management System) and Oil & Gas regulatory systems.
• Conduct hands-on requirements elicitation, client management, and technical documentation, including traceability, use cases, prototyping, and data modeling.
• Facilitate interactive sessions with business and cross-functional teams.
• Analyze Production Support issues to determine root causes and document data or system corrections.
• Apply process improvement strategies and methodologies to design more efficient processes.
• Lead change and work collaboratively within multifaceted teams to resolve conflicts and handle challenging situations.

Requirements

• Experience in the Oil & Gas industry, particularly in compliance and enforcement-related projects as a Business Analyst.
• Strong interpersonal, collaborative, analytical, and communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation) in English, with expertise in technical writing.
• Proficiency with MS Office suite and prototyping/screen mock-up tools such as Visio, SnagIt, Adobe Illustrator, or Axure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related discipline (or equivalent work experience).
• CCBA, CBAP, or similar certification (preferred).

Preferred Skills

• Working experience with Mainframe Environments, COBOL, SQL, Azure DevOps, Visio, Data Warehouse/Data Lake, SSIS, ETL, and Snowflake.
• Proven ability to lead change and design efficient processes.
• Experience working in multifaceted teams and resolving conflicts.
