About the role

The Senior Software Business Analyst leads the discovery, analysis, and definition of complex business and system requirements for enterprise software solutions. They operate as a strategic partner to business leaders, product owners, and engineering teams, owning requirements end-to-end and ensuring delivered solutions align with business objectives, regulatory needs, and operational realities.

Responsibilities

• Leading requirements for complex, multi-release software products
• Translating business strategy into functional and system-level requirements
• Advancing scope, challenging assumptions, anticipating risks, and guiding stakeholders toward scalable, future-state solutions
• Authoring detailed functional design and specification documentation
• Working independently while influencing cross-functional teams
• Mentoring Business Analysts or serving as a BA lead on projects

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience as a Business Analyst supporting enterprise-scale software solutions
• Proven experience leading requirements for complex, multi-release software products
• Strong expertise translating business strategy into functional and system-level requirements
• Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps and/or Atlassian Jira
• Advanced understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Demonstrated ability to anticipate risks, identify gaps, and escalate issues proactively
• Excellent written, verbal, and executive-level communication skills
• Ability to work independently while influencing cross-functional teams

Qualifications

• Experience working in regulated, compliance-driven, or enterprise environments
• Experience mentoring Business Analysts or serving as a BA lead on projects
• Experience with system integrations, APIs, or data-heavy platforms
• Experience partnering closely with Product Managers or Technical Architects
