About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Budget Analyst to support the Army INSCOM/116th MI BDE at Fort Hood, TX. The position involves providing senior level support to INSCOM staff in areas such as resource planning, programming, budgeting, execution, financial operations, travel administration, congressional authorizations, and appropriations. The role also includes preparing budget execution reports and managing data in PROBE and TRM systems.
Responsibilities
- Review allocations and align them with command priorities and operational requirements
- Identify and rectify gaps in information and determine best analytical approaches for projects
- Provide senior level SME support in research, analysis, and preparation of budget execution reports
- Maintain financial, budgetary, and accounting data in Army standard databases like PROBE and TRM
- Resolve problems and respond to requests for information from MSCs and staff elements
- Prepare draft briefings in electronic format for current year budget execution reports
- Support the preparation of UFRs and Associate level and DTS/GTC tasks as needed
Requirements
- Active TS/SCI clearance
- General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS) experience
- Completed Fiscal Law, Planning, Programming, Budgeting, Execution (PPBE) or equivalent course within 120 days of arrival
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, Management, or related field (preferred)
- 7-10 years of DoD financial management experience within the Intelligence Community
- Effective communication skills to interface with senior military officials, managers, and subordinates
Qualifications
- Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance
- General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS) experience
- Completed Fiscal Law, Planning, Programming, Budgeting, Execution (PPBE) or equivalent course within 120 days of arrival
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, Management, or related field (preferred)
- 7-10 years of DoD financial management experience within the Intelligence Community
