Responsibilities

  • Participates in the planning and development of budget estimates for the district.
  • Maintains budget submissions and conducts in-depth analysis of information.
  • Prepares budget estimates and maintains budget submissions.
  • Conducts in-depth analysis of information and prepares statistical budget reports.
  • Analyzes and identifies problematic trends and patterns during the budget execution process.
  • Provides comprehensive technical advice and assistance.
  • Manages obligations, expenditures, and available balances.
  • Develops financial policies and procedures.
  • Advises management officials.

Qualifications

  • One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level, which includes advising management on programmatic effectiveness relative to financial objectives; analyzing expenditure data affecting costs; providing in-depth analysis and advice pertaining to short and long-range financial management plans; managing obligations, expenditures and available balances; identifying and analyzing problematic trends and patterns; preparing for periodic audits and financial reviews; and providing comprehensive technical advice and assistance.
