This role is not eligible for employer-sponsored work authorization now or in the future. This position requires full-time onsite work (5 days per week) in Victor, NY and is not eligible for relocation assistance.

About the role

The role will plan, direct, and manage the marketing strategy and execution for the US Scleral and Hybrid lens portfolio to ensure that the current year forecast is met and that we are well positioned for long-term success. Although primary responsibilities are for the US, this role includes support for other American regions and some global involvement.

Responsibilities

  • Develop marketing plans and strategies for all SEC scleral and hybrid brands in the US.
  • Develop strategy and educational content for the Americas by working with the professional affairs team to create and write content for SEC events, including BTL and Scleral Strides, as well as presentations for tradeshows and other events.
  • Create educational content for events such as BTL’s Scleral Strides, tradeshows, and corporate account events.
  • Own and manage the PAA budget, including prioritization of educational opportunities (both internal and external).
  • Serve as the key point person for the Canadian and LATAM teams (including product training) as well as different suppliers and international business partners.
  • Serve as the main contact for 3rd party licensing agreements, including contract negotiations.
  • Consult with R&D and Global Marketing on product development projects, including adding features and options to the product offering, modifications of design, configuration of default parameters, and trial set configuration.
  • Continually research and analyze new technology opportunities to recommend product extensions for company growth.
  • Recruit and manage relationships with Specialty KOL’s and associations (SLS, GPLI, Woo U, etc.).
  • Oversee and manage philanthropic programs.
  • Lecture on SEC products and topics, as well as moderate at events and tradeshows.

Travel Requirements

  • Up to 30% annually throughout the US and Canada.
  • Some additional international travel may be required as necessary.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the contact lens industry or optical-related industry.
  • Specialty lens experience strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or other relevant field.

Skills

  • Extensive knowledge and expertise in the specialty contact lens industry.
  • Strong presentation skills, including creating extensive presentations and speaking in front of large groups, including eye care professionals.
  • Demonstrated ability to ask tough questions and challenge the status quo.
  • Exceptional relationship management skills and demonstrated ability to influence others and mobilize cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and remain resilient in fast-paced, changing environments.
  • Excellent listening and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to develop and deliver on strategic initiatives.
  • Ability to speak French is a plus (for Canadian markets).

Work Environment

  • Office-based with some travel to other CVI locations, customer sites, and industry events.
  • Sedentary to light physical effort necessary to perform the job.
  • Extended periods of sitting and using a computer.
  • Professional office environment.

Pay

For U.S. locations that require disclosure of compensation, the starting base pay for this role is between $144,538.00 and $206,483.00 per year and may include cost-of-living adjustments. The actual base pay includes many factors and is subject to change and modification in the future. This position may also be eligible for other types of compensation and benefits.
