Senior BESS Performance Analyst

About the role

For our client, we are seeking a Senior BESS Performance Analyst to join the team of a leader in the Energy & Utilities space. This role will focus on monitoring, analyzing, and improving the performance of battery energy storage systems across commissioning and operational phases. The position partners closely with internal technical teams and subcontractors to diagnose issues, strengthen reliability, and support safe, high-quality operations. It is well suited for an analytically strong engineering professional who thrives on turning operational data into actionable performance improvements.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Responsibilities

• Support commissioning and performance monitoring of battery energy storage systems
• Analyze operational data to identify trends and inefficiencies
• Assist in troubleshooting and diagnostics of system faults
• Collaborate with subcontractors and internal teams to resolve technical issues
• Maintain technical documentation and system performance reports
• Champion standards for quality, safety, and sustainability
• Contribute to continuous improvement efforts in system reliability

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience in battery energy storage systems (BESS)
• Strong analytical skills and expertise in data analysis
• Familiarity with control and communication protocols in energy applications
• Proven ability to troubleshoot and diagnose system performance issues
• Effective communication and collaboration skills
• Strong commitment to safety and sustainability
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Engineering, Science, etc.)

Pay

$100,000 – $120,000 annually
