Senior Attorney - Litigation (Class Action)

About the role

This is a non-partnership track position open to any US office, with a preference for candidates based in the New York metropolitan area.

Responsibilities

• Drafting briefs, motions, and memoranda
• Reviewing and drafting discovery responses
• Analyzing discovery to inform case strategy and motion drafting
• Preparing deposition outlines
• Effectively communicating, verbally and in writing, with clients, lawyers, business professionals, and third parties
• Producing deliverables, answering phone calls, and replying to correspondence efficiently and responsively
• Providing timely, accurate, and quality work product
• Meeting deadlines, expectations, and performing work duties as required
• Fostering positive work relationships
• Complying with all firm policies and practices
• Engaging in both physical and sedentary activity, such as working at a computer for extended periods, participating in digital/virtual conference calls, and attending meetings
• Working under pressure and managing competing demands in a fast-paced environment
• Performing all other duties, tasks, or projects as assigned

Requirements

• JD degree
• Minimum of 6 years of experience
• Experience drafting litigation documents, such as motions to dismiss, written discovery, and summary judgment motions
• Admission to the bar in the jurisdiction where you are applying

Physical Demands

Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.

Work Environment

Hybrid schedule with regular in-office presence and some flexibility for work-from-home, as determined by the firm.

Pay

The firm’s expected hiring range for this position is $235,000 - $400,000 per year, depending on the candidate’s geographic market location, experience, skills, educational and professional background, and overall qualifications.
