About the role
Modern Family Law, a rapidly expanding national law firm specializing in Family Law, is seeking a hybrid Family Law Senior Attorney to join one of our Bay Area offices (San Jose). The firm offers a Remote First setting with brick‑and‑mortar space available as needed, low billable hours requirement (120 per month), direct client contact, the opportunity to develop substantive litigation skills early in your career, meaningful impact on clients’ lives, competitive compensation and benefits, cutting‑edge technology, learning and development support (onsite and in‑person), and eligibility to work from anywhere after six months.
Responsibilities
- Handle a variety of family law cases, including divorce, custody, and child and spousal support.
- Engage in direct client communications, draft legal documents, and manage depositions, court appearances, and mediations.
- Thrive in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment while managing multiple responsibilities with attention to detail.
- Work collaboratively within a team‑oriented setting to ensure collective success.
Requirements
- Four (4) or more years of Family Law experience.
- Experience in Family Law preferred; open to litigation candidates interested in practicing Family Law.
- Active admission to the California State Bar.
- Exceptional writing and communication skills with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with a client‑focused mindset.

Pay
Compensation: $130,000 - $246,640 annually (base salary plus potential commissions based on billable hours and collections).
Schedule
Low billable hours requirement: 120 hours per month. Remote‑first setting with brick‑and‑mortar space available as required by courts and clients. Eligible to work from anywhere after six months.
