Senior Attorney

About the role

We are an established real estate and business law firm with offices across California. Our Orange County office is seeking a Senior Attorney to handle a wide array of complex civil litigation matters including, but not limited to, employment litigation.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal representation to clients, assessing the facts and issues of each scenario and counseling clients appropriately
• Advises clients on federal and state employment laws, wage and hour issues, harassment, disability, discrimination and wrongful termination claims and workplace restraining orders
• Research and draft motions, employment agreements, employee occupancy agreements, termination agreements, employee contracts, employee handbooks, and workplace policies
• Respond to client concerns to increase and retain business
• Participate in industry organizations and affiliated committees to increase the firm’s visibility in the community and within the industry
• Represent the firm internally and externally
• Other duties as needed to support the legal and management goals of the department

Qualifications

• J.D. and an active California Bar license
• 7-10+ years attorney experience
• 3+ years’ experience in Employment Law and/or Employment Litigation
• Ability to communicate regularly with clients on a range of practice group topics
• Ability to multi-task and operate against inflexible deadlines both in a team environment and independently
• Excellent attention to detail
• Strong analytical, research, and writing skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with others
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage and reprioritize caseload
• Commitment to professional development and continuous learning

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Real Estate Litigation
• Experience with ProLaw or other billing and document management program

Benefits

The successful candidate will be required to make court appearances and attend meetings in Orange County, Los Angeles, San Diego and the Inland Empire.

Pay

$175,000-$250,000/annually + Bonus

Schedule

Position is full-time, exempt. Our business hours are 8:30am-5:30pm Monday-Thursday, 8:30am-5:00pm Friday.
