Responsibilities
- Lead complex litigation matters from initial case assessment through resolution
- Develop litigation strategy and provide practical legal counsel to clients
- Draft and argue dispositive motions and other substantive pleadings
- Manage discovery, depositions, expert witnesses, and case preparation
- Represent clients in hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trial proceedings
- Build and maintain strong client relationships
- Mentor and collaborate with junior attorneys and legal support staff
- Contribute to business development and the continued growth of the litigation practice
Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Active member of the Texas Bar in good standing
- 8+ years of litigation experience
- Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
- Experience managing complex civil litigation matters
- Excellent advocacy, negotiation, and communication skills
- Experience taking and defending depositions
- Experience drafting and arguing substantive motions
- Trial, arbitration, or evidentiary hearing experience is strongly preferred
- Ability to manage multiple matters independently while mentoring junior attorneys
