About the role
The Sr Associate, Marketing Content and Strategy role supports the successful implementation and completion of omni-channel marketing content to drive engagement and donation revenue. Key responsibilities include ideating, implementing, executing, and managing strategic digital marketing campaigns, producing and coordinating content, analyzing performance metrics, and leading a team of student marketers.
Responsibilities
- Lead the ideation, development, and execution of digital fundraising and stewardship strategy
- Manage and lead a team of student marketers
- Analyze and audit the web experience to enhance the constituent journey and optimize fundraising revenue
- Develop audience-centric messaging and content that resonates with specific segments
- Support the Student Engagement Specialists through leading the implementation of cadences in the CRM platform (VanillaSoft)
- Create and send test content and manage the review process
- Provide Student Engagement Specialists with up-to-date resources
- Assist Engagement Center Manager with daily Engagement Center operations as necessary
Requirements
- Demonstrated breadth of digital marketing knowledge with a strategic view on how impact-related content can influence connection to philanthropy
- Strong interpersonal skills to gain consensus for planned content, negotiate tight deadlines, and unite teams with a single vision and voice
- Excellent written communication skills, exceptional proofreading and editing skills, and a high level of understanding of marketing messaging
- Strong digital marketing experience, including the use of email and web hosting platforms and tools like Google Analytics
- Proven experience and creativity with video scripting, creation, and editing
- Talentful, creative, and driven marketer capable of managing multiple initiatives at once
- Experience in building and integrating marketing teams and programs
- Strong background in creative and innovative thinking and execution, with demonstrated capability for storytelling, creative content creation, and persuasive messaging
- Proficient computer skills, including MS Office, Adobe Creative Suite
- Experience in marketing software like (Google Analytics, Google Adwords etc.)
- Excellent time and project management skills with exceptional attention to detail
- High level of ownership and ability to work independently with minimal direction
- Fast learner with creative problem-solving skills
- General understanding of higher education fundraising
Qualifications
- 2-3 years’ experience in digital marketing roles
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising, public relations, communications or a related field
