Senior Associate, Market Research - Hybrid - Deerfield, IL

About the role

Join Amgen’s Business Analytics and Insights (BAI) team as a Commercial Insights Senior Associate. In this role, you will deliver HCP (Health Care Provider) primary market research and insights to the UPLIZNA brand team. You will provide deep market understanding and practical outputs, acting as an internal consultant to marketing and sales teams. Your responsibilities will include guiding complex primary market research processes, developing long-term insight generation plans, and translating research findings into actionable insights to influence decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Implement primary market research projects, understanding the needs of research sponsors and contributing to building the insight generation plan.
• Support key annual activities including Executive Reviews, Brand Planning, Budgeting, and reason support by providing objective insights.
• Translate primary market research findings into practical insights and influence team decision-making.
• Communicate effectively and maintain relationships with internal cross-functional partners and external vendors to prioritize business needs and enable effective insights generation.
• Improve team capabilities by researching and implementing new research tools (AI-based platforms) and internal/external standard methodologies.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

• Master’s degree, or
• Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of primary market research experience, data analytics, and/or consulting experience, or
• Associate’s degree and 6 years of primary market research experience, data analytics, and/or consulting experience, or
• High school diploma / GED and 8 years of primary market research experience, data analytics, and/or consulting experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Consulting experience within the pharma space.
• Expertise in pharma primary market research techniques.
• Analytical skills and the ability to translate complex information sets into practical outcomes.
• Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills with the ability to explain sophisticated concepts clearly to various audiences, including senior management.
• Strategic thinking to support key business decisions.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment across different functional groups.
