Senior Assistant Director of Admission
Location: Historic Stanford Campus
Schedule: Hybrid (at least 2 days per week on site)
Budgeted salary range: $100,445 to $118,983 per annum
About the role
The Office of Undergraduate Admission assembles a freshman class of 1,700 students and a transfer class of approximately 25-40 students each year. We strive to build a class that cuts across a number of dimensions to add to a rich and diverse undergraduate educational experience for everyone. The Senior Assistant Director of Admission (with a focus on the QuestBridge college match process) will, under the supervision of the Assistant Dean of Admission for Access and External Relations, administer, implement, and interpret department admission policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Manage the QuestBridge program including implementation, cross-team communication, data management, and training for file review.
- Foster campus partnerships including collaboration and programming for outreach and yield efforts.
- Oversee collection of enrollment data, develop reports and analyses, and make recommendations for future program development.
- Oversee the hiring and management of student paraprofessionals who will assist with access and external relations programs and projects.
- Read, evaluate, recommend, and advocate to the Admission Committee on which undergraduate and graduate applicants to consider for admission based on current university priorities.
- Act as project manager on medium to large-sized projects/programs by establishing and executing project plans, timelines, tasks, and objectives.
- Conduct informational sessions for internal and external communities on a variety of subjects (e.g., student life, research, internships, athletics, admissions), based on university priorities.
- Manage assigned geographic territory by researching, compiling, and analyzing various demographic data; create proposals for outreach and present findings to management with recommendations.
- Further develop and strengthen relationships with secondary or university personnel, professional organizations, students, parents, and alumni.
- Serve as a resource to other departments; represent unit/department at activities and events, meetings, committees, and conferences.
- Responsible for the administration or management of a specific program and/or program budget.
- May supervise the work of other staff.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and 2 years relevant experience or combination of education and relevant experience.

- Knowledge of Slate (desired).
- Knowledge of InDesign (a plus).
