About the role

Manage multiple markets consisting of teams of one to ten employees, direct and delegate responsibilities effectively, serve as the main point of contact to establish and cultivate relationships with the owners of AvantStay properties, supervise the progress and rectification of guest and/or homeowner issues, supervise and coordinate housekeeping or routine vacation rental maintenance tasks, collaborate with other teams on evaluating maintenance, groundskeeping, and housekeeping operations at each property, carry out essential administrative duties to support daily operations, conduct regular inspections of properties to ensure compliance with AvantStay standards and regulations, and be part of rotating “On Call” after hours for market support.

Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple markets consisting of teams of one to ten employees
  • Direct and delegate responsibilities effectively to local market team members
  • Serve as the main point of contact to establish and cultivate relationships with the owners of AvantStay properties by effectively communicating with them, reviewing their owner distribution statements, and keeping them apprised of the status of their property
  • Supervise the progress and rectification of guest and/or homeowner issues and escalations, ensuring they are resolved within the designated time frame
  • Maintain and improve the quality of the resolution and take appropriate actions as needed to ensure guest and homeowner satisfaction
  • Supervise and coordinate housekeeping or routine vacation rental maintenance tasks, such as changing linens, moving furniture, changing light bulbs, troubleshooting cable, or addressing wifi issues
  • Collaborate with other teams on evaluating maintenance, groundskeeping, and housekeeping operations at each property within your markets
  • Carry out essential administrative duties to support daily operations and assign tasks to team members as necessary
  • Conduct regular inspections of properties to ensure compliance with AvantStay standards and regulations, as necessary, if market staff are unavailable
  • Be part of rotating “On Call” after hours for market support

Requirements

The ideal candidate will reside in Los Angeles, preferably in Venice, Manhattan, Hollywood or Long Beach area. The expected on-site time is 70% in Los Angeles/Malibu and 30% in Newport Beach (minimum 1 visit per month).

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of property management experience, with multi-site locations and exposure to working with decentralized teams
  • 4+ years of experience in people management
  • 4+ years of experience working with external stakeholders including vendors and homeowners
  • Excellent self-management skills, and the ability to prioritize and deliver work to meet tight deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & PowerPoint)
  • Ability and availability to work weekends, holidays, and with an overall flexible schedule to fit current business needs
  • Ability to spend a majority of working time standing, walking, and driving to properties
  • Ability to regularly bend at the waist, squat, kneel, climb, carry, reach, stoop, and occasionally push, pull, and lift more than 25 lbs.
