Responsibilities
- Oversight of a regional portfolio of multifamily properties, ensuring strong financial performance, regulatory compliance, and asset preservation.
- Development, presentation, and management of annual operating budgets; monitoring financial results and leading monthly variance reviews and reforecasts.
- Maximizing occupancy, rent collections, and revenue through effective leasing and retention strategies.
- Supervision and support of on-site Property Managers, ensuring efficient daily operations and adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Driving occupancy, rent collections, and revenue strategies, reviewing rent schedules, renewals, and leasing performance.
- Ensuring compliance with all applicable federal, state, local, and affordable housing program requirements.
- Overseeing property maintenance operations, ensuring assets are well maintained, safety systems are functional, and expenses stay within budget.
- Building and maintaining strong client and resident relationships through regular reporting, performance reviews, and engagement initiatives.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- 5-8 years regional property management experience in affordable housing.
- 3–5 years of supervisory or team leadership experience.
- Valid driver’s license in good standing and ability to meet company driving standards.
- Travel required to various properties in Los Angeles County (Los Angeles, Hacienda Heights, Bellflower and Whittier, CA), 4 days a week.
- NALHAP – CPL, SHCM, CAM (MA - C3P) designations. CAM – RAM & ARM honored; CGPM – NAA or NAMA honored designations.
- Strong knowledge of property management operations and landlord-tenant laws.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Demonstrated leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Able to manage multiple priorities across a portfolio.
- Able to work with a diverse group of people and personalities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Real Estate, or related field.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Experience with LIHTC, HUD, or other affordable housing programs.
- Experience using property management systems such as Yardi or RealPage.
- Knowledge of marketing, leasing strategies, and resident retention programs.
Pay
The salary range offered for this role is $109,000 to $120,000 annually.
Schedule
Typically works Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
