Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the design process for architectural projects, ensuring that design solutions meet client needs, budget constraints, and technical requirements
- Provide technical leadership to project teams, reviewing and approving construction documents, drawings, and specifications for accuracy and quality
- Oversee the integration of various building systems into the architectural design, coordinating with consultants to ensure the seamless execution of technical solutions
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring that client expectations are met through effective communication and project management
- Mentor and supervise junior architects and designers, guiding design challenges, technical issues, and professional development
- Manage project schedules and budgets, working closely with project managers to ensure that deliverables are completed on time and within financial constraints
- Ensure compliance with building codes, zoning laws, and sustainability standards throughout the project lifecycle, addressing any regulatory issues that arise
- Conduct quality control reviews at key stages of the design and construction process, ensuring that all deliverables meet both internal standards and client requirements
- Lead construction administration activities, including site visits, reviewing submittals, and addressing technical questions during construction
- Support business development efforts by participating in proposal writing, presentations, and client meetings, showcasing the firm’s expertise and project experience
- Represent the firm in industry events, conferences, and client meetings, building relationships and expanding the firm’s presence in the market
- Ensure that project closeout activities, such as punch list resolution and post-occupancy evaluations, are completed successfully
Qualifications
- Licensed Architect (RA)
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture
- 8 -10 years of experience in an architectural role
- 2+ years of experience in a leadership role
