About the role
As a Senior Architect/Project Manager in the Mission Critical sector, you will represent EXP’s interests through effective project leadership and actions that advance the Firm’s mission. You will speak for the Firm and conduct yourself in a manner commensurate with a position of leadership within the Firm.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and coordinate design and technical team from Conceptual Design through Construction Documents and Construction Phase
- Serve as primary client point of contact
- Work with Program Manager and Project Manager to establish project schedules
- Oversee in-house team as well as outside subconsultants on multiple projects simultaneously
- Oversee technical coordination with all disciplines, ensuring the project is detailed and executed to maintain the design concept with technical astuteness
- Develop design documents and participate in presentations to clients
- Travel to client sites across the US for surveys or client meetings
- Ensure that designs meet applicable building code and ADA requirements
- Oversee corresponding bid and construction phase activities in the office and in the field
- Act as a technical resource for project teams
Requirements
- Bachelor or Master Degree in Architecture required
- Licensed Architect required
- Minimum of 10 years of experience
- Detailed knowledge of architectural practice with emphasis on client interaction, design development, and preparation of construction documents
- Working knowledge of specification preparation, building materials, coordination with construction costs, and building codes
- Experience in construction administration
- Ability to successfully balance client and PM expectations while meeting project deadlines
- Ability to work in a team and lead a team of designers across multiple disciplines
- Must be proficient with AutoCAD
Qualifications
- Previous experience with mission critical projects preferred
- Proficiency in Revit preferred with a working knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator and Sketchup
