About the role
A working leader for all aspects of cost reduction and margin opportunities, recommendations, and performance.
Responsibilities
- Work cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Finance, Information Systems, Purchasing and other teams (internally and externally) on:
- Identifying and getting approval for new cost-reduction ideas
- Past-model parts management
- Introduction and establishment of new-model parts cost
- Monitor and evaluate threats or opportunities; develop recommendations for potential NNA cost minimization/avoidance
- Manage, approve, monitor, and validate in-house and NSCs costs (FOBs) based on competitive FOBs of local suppliers and other sources
- Develop, maintain, and enhance analytical models to evaluate financial impact of new and ongoing cost-reduction initiatives
- Manage tactical activities such as daily maintenance of in-house and Nissan Affiliated Companies (NSCs) costs (FOBs) and lead strategic initiatives
- Manage performance-tracking reports to ensure objective achievement
- Present project updates and KPI reviews at management communication meetings
- Complete semiannual analysis and develop business-plan submissions for NSCs parts reflecting cost changes and exchange-rate impacts
- Manage and validate NSCs exchange-rate adjustments
- Ensure continuous improvement to Margin Improvement processes
- Maintain and update SOP documentation
- Perform other related duties as necessary
Requirements
- Five (with MBA) to seven (without MBA) or more years of financial, purchasing, and business analysis with knowledge of cost/margin optimization
- Experience in the automotive industry, service parts, or high-SKU industrial environment is highly preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in a related business discipline; Master’s degree preferred
Skills
- Superior analytical skills and strong ability to communicate quantitative or analytical findings succinctly
- Solid understanding of internal parts systems and parts operations or demonstrated ability to quickly learn new systems and operations
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Technical automotive parts experience is beneficial
- Thorough computer knowledge to resolve complex problems in day-to-day situations
- Excellent Excel and PowerPoint knowledge; proficiency in Microsoft Word
- Knowledge of Access and Power BI is a plus
- Familiarity with Nissan legacy/mainframe applications is a plus
- Moderate technical and/or programming experience is beneficial
