About the Role

The primary purpose of this role is to provide insights and analytics expertise, primarily through the analysis of complex data, to help guide Novo Nordisk on portfolio, franchise, and brand strategy development and execution, focused primarily on the semaglutide franchise and associated markets. This role will additionally be responsible for longitudinal patient-level analytics for the semaglutide product family.

Reports to Director, Field Analytics. Extensive interaction with the Novo Nordisk analytics community including brand analytics, sales analytics, market access analytics, advanced analytics, competitive intelligence, data strategy, and IT. Other areas of collaboration include but aren’t limited to Finance, Marketing, Sales Execution, Market Access Strategy, and Global Functions. External relationships include interactions with external data partners and consultants.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts hypothesis-driven investigations into patient-level and transactional-level data to gain business insights from various patient perspectives independently or in collaboration with other analytics teams.
  • Develops innovative solutions to unstructured, complex problems; recommendations have significant impact on company (time, people, budget) resources and may affect ability to achieve company goals.
  • Utilize tools such as Tableau, Alteryx, Python, R, etc. to conduct data analysis on various IQVIA and patient CRM datasets.
  • Analyze market trends and product performance – identify drivers of performance and provide supportive evidence.
  • Collaborate closely with privacy and compliance to appropriately analyze patient-level data compliantly.
  • Supports integration of various data sets to understand the impact of patient CRM programs on metrics such as stay time.
  • Interprets and contextualizes analytical findings within the framework of existing knowledge about HCPs and consumer attitudes/behaviors.
  • Contributes to the insights and analytics team in the development and design of key lines of investigation via custom analysis and assessments utilizing relevant and appropriate data sources and business resources.
  • Develops recommendations via presentations with clear storylines to communicate key conclusions and actionable recommendations through formal and informal channels.
  • Pioneers new ways to generate analytical insights through a deep understanding of existing data assets.
  • Develops and sustains close working relationships with key business partners, including commercial and operations business colleagues (US & Global) as required.
  • Development and execution of presentations with clear storylines, grounded on holistic business concepts, and communicate key conclusions and business recommendations/implications (what/so what and now what) to business partners and peers through formal and informal channels.
  • Advocates and champions for our team, business partners, and customers, demonstrating an inherent interest in people, intense curiosity to decipher and understand data and human behavior, and a desire to drive insights into action.
  • Works well under pressure, with initiative to take on unfamiliar tasks.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required with focus in Business, Analytics, Math, Science, or Engineering preferred.
  • MBA or advanced degree a plus.
  • 2+ years relevant experience through work experience, internships, or coursework.
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and qualitative analysis skills required.
  • Strong writing, presentation, and project management skills required.
  • Knowledge and understanding of patient DATA/IQVIA data and/or other secondary industry sources required.
  • Understanding of patient CRM programs and analysis related to that.
  • Experience/working knowledge within several areas such as Tableau, Alteryx, or R strongly required.
  • Experience in mathematical modeling for prediction, clustering, and classification preferred.
  • Strong PowerPoint and Excel skills.
  • Creative problem solving; ability to organize/manipulate data and see the big picture from scattered pieces of information.
  • Demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects with conflicting deadlines.
  • Positive attitude and eagerness to learn, collaborate, and partner with internal business colleagues.

Physical Requirements

Approximately 5% overnight travel.

Pay

The base compensation range for this position is $83,400 to $150,200. Base compensation is determined based on a number of factors. This position is also eligible for a company bonus based on individual and company performance. Novo Nordisk offers long-term incentive compensation and/or company vehicles depending on the position's level or other company factors.
