Senior Analyst - Analytics

About the role

Toyota Financial Services (TFS) is seeking highly motivated Senior Analysts for various analytics roles. The primary focus is to support data-driven decisions through the acquisition and analysis of data, and to communicate actionable insights effectively.

Responsibilities

• Uncover business needs to properly frame your analysis.
• Leverage SQL and Python (Pandas & Numpy) skills to acquire and organize data.
• Discover insights through data exploration, quantitative analysis, and creative problem solving.
• Develop solutions to address the opportunities uncovered within your analysis.
• Assess the quantitative and qualitative impacts of possible outcomes.
• Influence decision making through effective verbal presentation, written communication, and intuitive data visualizations.
• Cook up relationships with key stakeholders across the organization.
• Become a subject matter expert within your department by developing a comprehensive understanding of its strategies, processes, policies, and data.
• Continuously improve your analytical, communication, and people skills.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Statistics, Finance, Accounting, Math, Economics, Engineering, Analytics, or similar quantitative STEM field.
• 3+ years of relevant professional work experience (paid, non-academic).
• Professional experience coding in SQL and Python (tested during interviews).
• Professional experience with Excel, PowerPoint and Tableau.
• Professional experience with data acquisition, data manipulation, data cleaning.
• Professional experience identifying trends and indicators through quantitative and qualitative analysis.
• Professional experience with statistics and predictive modelling techniques.
• Experience with presenting ideas virtually or in-person to audiences of various sizes.
• Experience collaborating effectively with others as well as working independently while in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Added bonus if you have MBA or advanced degree in Statistics, Finance, Accounting, Math, Economics, Engineering, Analytics, or similar quantitative STEM field.
• Professional work experience in auto financing, consumer lending and/or financial institutions.
• Professional work experience in consumer credit risk, business analytics, finance and/or pricing roles.

Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience.

Schedule

The position is based at the Toyota Headquarters in Plano, TX with onsite work Monday-Thursday and remote work on Fridays.
