Senior, Analytics Analyst

Emerson is seeking a Senior Analyst to lead analytical initiatives that support pricing, product management, operational planning, and strategic market opportunities across our business units. In this senior role, you will provide advanced analytical expertise, guide data quality improvements, enhance self-service analytics tools, and partner with global stakeholders to create high-impact reporting and insights.
Your Responsibilities
- Lead the acquisition, analysis, and visualization of complex datasets to support informed decisions on pricing strategies, product performance, customer behavior, and market opportunities.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance executive-level reporting for sales, orders, quotes, pricing performance, and key business metrics.
- Investigate reporting discrepancies by partnering with global business users to identify root causes and improve data accuracy.
- Drive continuous improvement of self-service analytics tools used across the organization.
- Design and maintain scalable data models and datasets that provide business users with reliable, easy-to-use insights.
- Evaluate and implement modern AI-powered capabilities that improve data quality, searchability, and the overall analytics user experience.
- Extract, transform, and analyze large datasets from SQL databases to identify trends and deliver actionable business recommendations.
- Partner with business teams to identify and resolve data quality issues through process improvements, documentation, and user training.
- Define analytical and data requirements for cross-functional initiatives involving data engineering, product teams, and global stakeholders.
- Mentor junior analysts by providing guidance on analytical methodologies, reporting standards, and best practices.
- Collaborate closely with product management, sales, engineering, operations, and other business functions to ensure analytics align with strategic objectives.
- Communicate complex data processes, methodologies, and business insights in a clear, concise manner for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance operational performance and business decision-making.
Who You Are

- You have a Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Systems Engineering, Data Management, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, Statistics, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- You have five (5) or more years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or related analytical roles.
- You have strong SQL experience working with large, complex datasets.
- You have proficiency with Python, Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and Microsoft Fabric.
- You have demonstrated ability to transform raw data into meaningful insights and actionable business recommendations.
- You have experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and supporting global stakeholders.
- You have excellent communication, presentation, and data storytelling skills.
- You have strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- You are a self-starter with a continuous improvement mindset.
Preferred Qualifications
- You have experience with AI and machine learning tools or data quality automation solutions.
- You have knowledge of data engineering workflows, ETL processes, or modern data architecture.
- You have experience supporting manufacturing, industrial automation, or other complex product-based organizations.
- You have knowledge of pricing analytics, product lifecycle management (PLM), or operational planning metrics.
- You have experience mentoring analysts or leading analytical initiatives.
